Kommandr OS Extension — Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026

The Kommandr OS Chrome extension is a tool for business owners who use Kommandr OS to run their resale/e‑commerce business. It works only with the marketplace accounts you choose to connect, and only to do the things you ask Kommandr to do on your behalf — cross‑post your listings across the marketplaces you sell on. It is not an ad product, and we do not sell your data.

What the extension accesses, and why

  • Your marketplace session (cookies). When you click “Connect,” the extension reads the login cookies for the marketplace you chose (e.g. Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, eBay) so Kommandr can act as you — posting your listings — the same way you would in your own browser. We access these only for marketplaces you explicitly connect.
  • Page content on those marketplaces. On the marketplace sites you connect, the extension reads the pages needed to (a) post a listing you created in Kommandr and (b) read public listing data so Deal Sniper can surface deals that match the filters you set. It does not read unrelated sites, and on Facebook it never reads your personal Messenger conversations.
  • Tabs & background activity. The extension may open background tabs on connected marketplaces to post a listing or scan for deals, and uses alarms to do this on a gentle schedule.
  • The Kommandr OS site (kommandros.com). It reads a bridge on your Kommandr dashboard to know which account is signed in and what to post.

What we do with it

  • We send the connected‑account session and the listing data to Kommandr’s servers over encrypted HTTPS, solely to operate the features you enabled (cross‑posting and deal scanning) for your account.
  • Marketplace actions run through your own logged‑in session at a human pace — this protects your accounts.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or unrelated third parties. We do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Data we store

To operate your account, Kommandr stores your connected‑marketplace session tokens (encrypted) and your listings, tied to your Kommandr account. Access is restricted to operating your account and providing support you request.

Your control

  • Disconnect any marketplace at any time from your Kommandr dashboard, which revokes Kommandr’s stored session for it.
  • Remove the extension from Chrome at any time (chrome://extensions → Remove).
  • Request deletion of your stored data by contacting us (below).

Permissions, in plain words

  • cookies — read the login session of a marketplace you connect, so Kommandr can act as you.
  • tabs / scripting / activeTab — open and operate marketplace tabs to post listings and scan for deals.
  • storage — remember your connection state and settings locally.
  • alarms — run posting/scanning tasks on a gentle background schedule.
  • host permissions — limited to Kommandr OS and the specific marketplaces the extension supports.

Children

Kommandr OS is for business owners 18 and older. The extension is not directed to children.
